Successful delivery of 40 apartments to Jersey Homes Trust at the new College Gardens development
Jersey Development Company has successfully completed the delivery of 40 Social Rented apartments for the Jersey Homes Trust at College Gardens. The completion of these homes formed part of the first phase of the College Gardens development. Jersey Development Company is 100% owned by the States of Jersey and the Company is tasked with delivering the regeneration of surplus States owned assets such as the former Jersey College for Girls at La Pouquelaye. The Company seeks to balance the financial returns with social and environmental gains on the development projects that it directly carries out and College Gardens comprises a mix of housing tenures with 40 shared equity apartments and 107 open market apartments in addition to the 40 apartments for the Jersey Homes Trust. This is the first time in Jersey that these three types of tenure have been delivered on the same development.
We would like to thank the Jersey Homes Trust for putting its faith in Jersey Development Company and the positive working relationship that has developed between the organisations. We would also like to thank ROK construction for delivering a quality build and the local design team (Waddington (Architects), Hartigan (Structures), Henderson Green (M&E) and Tillyard (Cost Consultants and Project Management)) for a well-designed scheme.< Back to News list
