Pride of Jersey Awards - 22 September 2018
We were delighted to once again support the Pride of Jersey Awards, which was held at Government House on Saturday 22nd September.
The awards recognise remarkable groups or individuals who have gone beyond all expectations and have helped to enhance the lives of others around them.
Despite the heavy rain, we were honoured to be with so many inspirational people and hearing some remarkable stories.
We are proud to once again sponsor the Child of the Year award. The two finalists who were selected by public vote were India Falle and Harry De Gruchy-Wilson.
These two remarkable individuals have overcome incredible hardships with determination and dignity. Both India and Harry have defied all odds and bring so much joy to their family and friends.
We were delighted to award Child of the Year to Harry De Gruchy-Wilson.
Harry has overcome many physical and sensory disabilities and despite being told he would not be able to walk or talk, this remarkable person not only overcome the odds and learnt to ride a bike, but with determination and acts of selflessness, participated in challenges to raise money for charities. Harry deserves our heartfelt congratulations for his sheer willpower and positive attitude to help others, a shining example to us all.< Back to News list
