Topping Out Ceremony held at Aztec Group House, IFC 6
The latest building at the International Finance Centre (IFC) Jersey has moved a step closer to completion and has been formally recognised by holding a ‘Topping Out’ ceremony. The recent ceremony took place on the upper floors of Aztec Group House, IFC 6.
The customary tradition of topping out marks an important milestone in the construction of a building with the completion of the super-structure and is an opportunity to bring together all parties involved in the project.
Guests attending the ceremony included the anchor tenant; Aztec Group, States Members, Government of Jersey officials and the team involved with the design, construction and financing of the building.
IFC 6 is being constructed by local contractor ROK Regal and is the third office building sited within the IFC Jersey. Aztec Group has secured a significant pre-let demonstrating the industry-leading organisation’s long-term commitment to the Island. The remaining office space in the 68,000 sq ft building is also under-offer.
The IFC buildings are setting new standards in the Island’s office accommodation by providing super-prime Grade A office space, sustainable and flexible accommodation to the highest standards. IFC 6 will be rated as ‘Excellent’ in the BREEAM Environmental rating scheme, the world’s leading third-party certification of a building’s environmental, social and economic sustainability performance. Key advantages include the benefit of natural light on all four elevations which studies have shown increase productivity and wellbeing for employees working in these environments.
The building has also achieved WiredScore Gold status. The WiredScore scheme assesses, certifies and improves digital connectivity in offices on a global scale. WiredScore Gold ensures that a building has the connectivity capacity for any tenant.
IFC 6 is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
