Tortoise Takeover public art trail and competition launch

Jersey Development Company in partnership with Coopers & Co Jersey, are delighted to be supporting Durrell’s global work with reptiles sponsoring ‘Aasimah’, one of fifty large fiberglass sculptures that will captivate Islanders and visitors, as they gracefully conquer enchanting corners of the island.

This partnership reflects our shared commitment towards environmental conservation and community engagement. By supporting Durrell's reputable work in protecting some of the most threatened species on the planet, this island-wide public art trail brings together every part of Jersey’s community.

Jersey Development Company assisted Durrell with providing four locations on St Helier Waterfront. Aasimah, created by the talented artist MrASingh, can be located at Marina Gardens, St Helier Waterfront (on top of the Waterfront car park).

Placing these captivating sculptures in various corners of the island offers an engaging way to capture the attention of both Islanders and visitors, drawing them into the cause and inspiring them to learn more about the vital work being done by Durrell. We hope this trail and support by the community will demonstrate Durrell’s dedication to making a positive impact on the environment and engaging the community in the process.

To coincide with the launch of our brand-new website and Durrell’s Tortoise Takeover public art trail, we are offering one lucky winner a unique piece of art by award-winning artist @MrASingh, the creator of our amazing Tortoise ‘Aasimah’

The trail runs from 1 July - 31 August 2023
